Principals of secondary and primary schools are important resources in the fundamental education and thus the principals' leadership is one of core factors in schools development. To improve principals' leadership contributes to keeping the whole stabilization and the sustainable development of fundamental education in my country, and it also keeps the normal operation and development of school organizations. To enhance principals' leadership is beneficial to give impetus to cultural construction, characteristic construction of the schools, and it also can promote education for all-round development and curricular reformation, which provides students education service in higher quality. To strengthen principals' leadership is good for improving the whole quality of more than one million principals in secondary and primary schools in my country, developing and fostering some excellent principals who are expert in education, management, operation and leadership and will be educators in new era.This thesis analyses the new changes of principals' roles and the new situation for principals' responsibility in real condition of the Nanchang city. It points out disadvantages in the past research and practically offers suggestions about developing principals' leadership. The thesis also points out the deficiency of principals' position power credit capability and the insufficiency of constituting principals' prestige after comparing and analyzing power and prestige of principals' leadership and suggests that we should improve principals' position power credit capability and expand the source of principals' prestige. Based on investigation and analysis of principals' leadership in the Nanchang city, the thesis raises some existing problems of principals' leadership in the Nanchang city and makes an evaluation mode of principals' leadership. The thesis makes some constructive suggestions in the terms of legal institution, policy of balancing education resources and individual factors of principals' leadership development, and I hope the suggestions will be dedicated to the development of principals' leadership in secondary and primary schools in the Nanchang city.
