With the optimal allocation of resources and the planning and adjustment of the layout of the school of education, the number of boarding schools rapid increase, more and more students to boarding school,the growth of the boarders especially mental health issues become the focus of education and psychology research world. The purpose of this study is to understand the level of mental health of the rural boarding junior high school students through questionnaires, boarding experience, gender, grade, and other factors on the mental health of junior high school boarders, and according to the findings of the mental health status of rural boarding junior high school students to explore social work intervention and boarders culture process, in order to promote the healthy growth of the boarders.Mental Health rating scale used in this study conducted a survey of182rural of Caichuan secondary boarding junior high school students. Use SPSS18.0to analyze the data, using the mean-variance analysis, one-way ANOVA and two independent samples T-test analysis of the data collected, the significance of the boarding school from social work intervention, the theoretical basis and methods of social boarder training intervention, the work of the Social Work Intervention the boarders psychological process.By studying the following conclusions:First,182junior high school students of rural boarding psychological problems overall detection rate of28.6%. From each factor, the factor detection rate of more than25%, self-forced highest detection rate of61.5%, to learn a sense of pressure, anxiety, maladaptive three factor detection rate of more than40%, not emotions stable, relationships, paranoia, depression factor problem detection rate is higher than30%.Second, rural boarding junior high school students in the grade, gender, boarding experience there are some differences. Grade in terms of all grades in the sense of learning pressure and maladaptive two factors there is a significant difference in the total score and hostility, paranoia, emotional instability, interpersonal sensitivity, depression, anxiety, self-obsessive-compulsive psychological imbalance The eight factor was no significant difference. From the boarding experience in terms of whether two independent samples T-test results, or one-way ANOVA results show that the boarding experience there is a statistically significant difference between two factors in boarders overall mental health status and hostility, depression, and the remaining8factors do not exist significant differences. From a gender point of view, all the test results, gender only maladaptive this factor had a significant impact on the rest of the factors do not exist significant difference in gender.Third, the nine-school hardware and software facilities are poor, there is no specific school counseling and mental health teacher. The teachers faces great pressure to bear both teaching tasks, but also do the daily lives of the boarders management. Schools and teachers on students’attention focused only on students’ academic performance and safety, do not have the time and energy to care about the lives of students and psychological.Fourth, after the intervention of social work the boarders culture and social work intervention boarders psychological analysis that boarding schools of social work intervention to solve the psychological problems of the boarders has a certain significance to carry out social work in boarding schools to help students adapt to the boarding school life, the formation of a sound personality and promote the all-round development of students’ physical and mental health.
