The Investigation On Mental Health Of Boarders In Ethnic Minority Ares Of Sichuan Province

Under the governments's great supports on construction of boarding school in ethnic minority areas,Aba Tibetan and Qiang Autonomous Prefecture has been built growing number of boarding schools,so that this action increase the enrollment rate of school-age children,and integrated the limited education resources and so on.It also benefits the improvement of talent cultivation and education level.However,as for the primary and middle boarders,with the transformation of education space they are in the key period of personality development,there may be some psychological problems,those The development of boarding school are encountered with many barriers and obstacle,because of the special humanity and culture condition in Aba prefcture.Our study reveals the general situation of loneliness,resilience,social support and mental health,and then we deeply research on the inner relationships as for the four variables.We selected the 627 participates four boarding schools from the Songpan county,we applied the methods of questionnaire,interview,literature and statistical analysis.according to the previous results and related professional knowledge to put up some advice to improve the level of mental health of boarders.We draw some conclusions as follows:It shows that there were 75.14% boarders exist different degree psychological problem,all the factors of higher mental problem were obsession,anxiety and study pressure,It indicates that the mental health status of borders in Aba prefecture is not optimistic.There is no remarkable difference in gender.In comparison with primary boarders,the junior boarders were more likely to be a better psychological status with higher degree level mental health,It is noteworthy that the primary boarders had a poorer MMHI-60 scores than junior boarders in maladjustment,while primary boarders showed a better MMHI-60 scores than junior boarders in study pressure scale.The level of CLS score was so serious,there were no significant differences between boys and girls,primary boarders and junior boarders.The general situation of the resilience :the boarders own a higher degree level of resilience,meanwhile the independent-sample T test for resilience in the social-demographic variables found that there was no remarkable difference in gender,but the junior boarders own a higher degree of resilience than that of primary boarders.The junior boarders own a positive situation of social supports,The scores of CD-RISC,MMHI-60 and the PSSS have a remarkably relationship.and PSSS scores mediated the relationship between CD-RISC scores and MMHI scores partially.The CLS scores had a positive significant effect on MMHI scores,the CD-RISC scores had a negative significant effect on MMHI score sand CD-RISC scores mediated the relationship between CLS scores and MMHI scores partially.
