| As for the Han nationality being the main body of society,"Hui minority " is a "strange-familiarpeople", which is a small but "ubiquitous" group, but it is a pity that the most people do not understand theHui nationality society in the context of history and reality. With the development of economicmodernization and urbanization, living pattern of geography, economic and professional structure, culturalstructure, social life of Hui minority community occur structure transformation. For its strongcharacteristics of "rational" and "heterogeneity", on the basis of fieldwork in Dong guan Hui minoritycommunity, the paper constructed the commercial location space, relationship, identity space under theperspective of geography, and built the research framework of Xining Dong guan Hui minority communitytransformation. Utilizing the field observation method, questionnaire survey and interview method, thepaper concluded:(1) Space layout of Hui minority traditional industries forms are subject to the temple location,individual traditional industries (such as gold store) and modern industries are mainly around the " urbantraffic axis" and "business center", and this Halal business space layout forms the "Hui minority industryspace", which plays a crucial role in the economic transformation of urban Hui minority community.(2) The larger Mosque is, the higher popularity it has. Which has the stronger attraction and radiationof the Muslim population, capital and related industries.At the same time, the spatial agglomeration degreeis also higher, and the modernized transformation degree of "small community" surrounding it is higher,and vice versa.(3) Space relationship of Dong Guan Muslim community changes from small scale space whichrefers to the native residents’ internal relationship to the larger scale referring to different places residents’relationship gradually. Under the perspective of relationship building, the traditional marriage begins to break by the Muslim and non-Muslim people contacting publicly.“Han-Muslim’ marriage” leads to theproblem directly which involves religious identity between the different generations more and more serious.On the other hand, social space structure is no longer limited within the Muslim people, but the religiousbelief and diet customs play an important role in maintaining the Muslim history and cultural traditions.(4) The identity space shifts gradually from the “single identity space” which is dominated by theoriginal inhabitants to the "multiple identity space" which is dominated by the residents of migration andoriginal. Religious beliefs and ethnic identity is complex in the process of transformation of urban Muslimcommunity. Most Muslim residents are strong in faith consciousness, but weak in the faith behavior, theyhave intimate feelings about the weakening of religious phenomenon in transformation of market economy.Muslim identity from traditional to modern transformation process in the Muslim community is strongstability. However, the youth’s religious belief and ethnic identity has begun to weaken obviously, whichdetermines the path and direction of urban Muslim community transformation largely. The path ofcommunity transformation which gradually turns “protect mode” to “market mode”, the space isreproduced and reshaped and a new community is gradually formed. Regional space presentsthree-dimensional development, the relationship network is the product of multi-ethnic interaction andculture characteristics is characterized by heterogeneity and diversity.The pathway and the content ofXining Dong guan Hui minority community transformation are unique heterogeneity,which are differentfrom the Shun he Hui minority community in Kaifeng of Chinese central region and Niu jie Hui minoritycommunity in Beijing of Chinese eastern regionThe main innovative points of the study lie in the unique perspective of the research, the theoreticalsignificance of the contents and the diversification of the methods of the research. |
