Drug-abuse, as a serious social problem in contemporary China has been being concerned by thegovernment and society. With the development of community rehabilitation pattern in recent years inChina, anti-drug social work plays an increasingly important role. Anti-drug social work Social workerhas saved numerous drug addicts and restored their normal social function through scientific andprofessional methods, which reducing the burden on the family and society. Anti-drug social work inputfresh blood as well as bring positive energy for traditional rehabilitation.As a result, the anti-drug socialworkers gradually become the main force of community rehabilitation.At present, the number of research on anti-drug social worker is very little and the research presents afragmented state. Based on the existing research, the author using in-depth interview, a method ofqualitative research, and taking8anti-social workers in Shenzhen as an example discussed theirquestion of occupational adaptation from the angle of themselves.The study showed that the occupational adaptation process of anti-drug social worker can be dividedinto four stages: entry period (pre-employment training to three months after the entry), conflict period(3months to1year), game period (3months-1year or longer) and differentiation period (1year later).The occupational adaptation process of anti-drug social worker is also the process of professionaldevelopment. Client produce a significant impact on occupational adaptation of anti-drug social workerand the subjective feelings changed more profound with the growth of the years of work. Theoccupational adaptation problem of anti-drug social work is mainly psychological adaption,environmental adaption and job adaptation. Individual, school, institution, government and societyaffect occupational adaptation of anti-drug social worker by influencing their cognitive, emotion andbehavior. Therefore, to promote the level of anti-social worker’s occupational adaptation, a joined effortis required. At the micro level, anti-drug social worker should improve their overall quality; at themedium level, school and social work agent should take corresponding responsibilities and obligations;at the macro level, government departments should play the role of good service for anti-drug socialworker.
