The Client Violence Risk Of The Anti-drug Social Workers And Countermeasures Research

In 2003,Shanghai took the lead in introducing social work in the field of drug control and became an example of the city's learning.This group attracted wide attention from academia,but most of them were about their role recognition,job burnout and other aspects of the study,ignored the particularity of the working environment and clients,will make anti-drug social workers face higher risk of violence and prevent them from doing their jobs,so the problem also need to be resolved.In this paper,a qualitative study was conducted to conduct in-depth interviews with 12 anti-drug social workers who were suffered client violence.Through the analysis of the current situation,we explored the main factors causing client violence,and not only concerned about the negative impact on anti-drug social workers,more focused on the foundation in the view of Strength perspective and Ecological systems theory,from the micro,meso and macro three aspects analysis of the advantages of resources in the face of the client violence risk.The study found that anti-drug social workers are facing the main body violence,psychological and property damage,with obvious delay,situational and repetitive characteristics.The process can be divided into trigger phase,spread stage,crisis stage and recovery stage,each stage of the client have different physiological and behavioral performance.The client violence to the anti-drug social workers' safety,mental health,career injury are particularly prominent,psychological aspects will experience the solution,conflict,and then adjust the process,the main career of emotional exhaustion,reduced sense of success,passive leave.In addition,theperpetrators of violence is not accidental,the client,drug traffickers,social workers,social policy and other multi-party integrated results.Although the client violence have a negative impact on the anti-drug social workers,through interviews found that they will use the micro-system in a good internal quality and emotional management,problem-solving ability;mesoscopic system of family,friends,institutions,social and cultural environment in the macro institutions and other advantages of resources to protect themselves after encountering the main violence.Finally,it summarizes the lack of support resources in the environment in which anti-drug social workers are located and puts forward recommendations,with particular emphasis on the role of social policy in protecting personal safety,and hopes that the micro-,medium-and macro-three efforts make such a situation no longer Anti-drug social workers have a negative impact,but let it become an opportunity to the anti-drug social work for further improvement and development.
