Survey And Research Upon Construction Situation Of The PE Major At Regular Universities Of Jiangxi Province

In21st century, the rapid development of science and technology bringsunprecedented convenience and benefits that improve people’s living standards andhigher demand for healthy, civilized and happy life on the one hand; however, on theother hand causes serious damage to the ecological balance and environmentalpollution. Meantime the modern lifestyle which is characterized as fast-paced workand the spirit of high tension makes a variety of "diseases of modern civilization"come into being. Facing of all these problems, modern people are beginning torecognize the importance of health, and the ideas of "health first" and "spend moneyon health" has been formed as a fashion statement. Especially after the governmentissuing a series policies to promote and facilitate the national fitness program, there isgood opportunity for colleges and universities to develop the Athletics ProfessionEducation. With the extensive development of nationwide fitness campaign, China’ssports industry shows a good momentum of vigorous development. With growingsocial needs, the demand for sport talents is getting diversified and multi-layered.Loads of sport talents with different skills and knowledge are needed to deal with alarge variety of new sports issues in order to meet the different needs of society. Inthis social context, the need for sports instructors, sports managers, sports healthrehabilitation workers and sport competition planners with higher standards is gettinggreater. China’s social sports specialty has been generated, developed and expandedunder such social circumstances. The paper summarized following conclusions basedon documentary analysis method, mathematical statistics, questionnaire method andexpert interview method in analyzing the construction status assurance status quo ofphysical education specialty in Jiangxi Province:1. Physical education in Jiangxi Province has clear professional training aim butthe construction of high-level sports team is unitary.2. Physical education in Jiangxi Province has reasonable teacher resources withhigh scientific research level. It has been equipped with advanced facilities to fulfillthe needs of teaching. 3. Jiangxi province sports education specialized curriculum system constructionis perfect. Hours and classes number of compulsory courses are higher than electivecourses because of the importance of the compulsory courses. University sportseducation pays attention students’ practice teaching.4. Physical education students in Jiangxi Province have won great number ofawards but their foreign language performance and computer performance are not sogood. They have excellent practice results and they insist on extracurricular learningbut with low enthusiasm on their major.5. Physical education students are satisfied with facilities, but they are notoptimistic about learning environment.
