In recent years, with the development of education informatization.Adaptivelearning system with its adaptability receives more and more attention. At present alot of research mainly from the technical perspective to the interpretation of"adaptability" meaning, research system how to be more true to the learner, how to bemore accurately capture the learner’s level of knowledge and learning style. However,even if the perfect embodiment of the "adaptability" will certainly be able to meet theneeds of learners, to guarantee that learning is effective?Existing research shows, in the cognitive process, learners easily misunderstandbecause of their own or external factors. When the learner has proconcept, the needfor effective means to change concepts, but conventional teaching is not effective. Inadaptive learning system, the learners’ cognitive process, the external factors that thesystem according to the traditional diagnosis provides learning support, is based onlearner diagnosis. Then, the learner’s diagnosis is complete, decided the system canrealize the adaptive. But, only for diagnosing the learner’s level of knowledge andlearning style is not complete.The author thinks that the learner’s diagnosis in the system lack of an importantdimension: the learner’s cognitive process diagnosis and speculation. The proconcepttheory is introduced into design factors of adaptive learning system as anintellectualization technology.Enable the system adaptive strategy choice for differentproconcept status.First, the author constructs the theory model of adaptive learning systemaccording to the theorys of adaptive learning system and of proconcept.Using thesubjective or objective questionnaires given to421person-times in two schools andinterview to the students, teachers and physics instruction group leader, to investigatefor the proconcepts of "force and motion" and cognitive process of junior high schoolstudents.Then analyze the data, get some conclusions.Conclusions are as follows: the theory model of adaptive learning system basedon the proconcept theory; the proconcepts of students in studying "force and motion"and the diagnosis method; the learner’s diagnosis strategy of the adaptive learningsystem.
