The long-term situation in which the teachers have engaged long working hours has attracted great attention of the researchers. Prolonging working hours may lead to the increasing rate of depression risk., especially the teachers who are working more than40hours are on a higher risk of depression. In this research, we choose Secondary School teachers as subjects, in order to explore the difference working hours for Secondary School teachers, the individual’s degree of depression is different., whether the teacher’s subjective well-being play a role as a mediating between teacher’s working hours and depression. This study based on the way of questionnaires selected a total of152valid questionnaires. All participants competed and explored the relationship among the number of work hours per week、the degree of depression and subjective well-being in the Secondary School teachers.The results show that:1.Teachers engaged in teaching work time and the degree of depression between positive correlation, while the SWB and the degree of depression negatively correlated.2.Different working hours among teachers in the degree of depression exist significant differences. In other words, teachers prolong the more working hours, the teachers tend to be higher degree of depression.3.In control of subjective well-being, teachers’ working hours on the teachers’ depression influence decline, fall still remarkable, teachers’ working time on the influence of depression only partly through the intermediary variable subjective well-being to fulfill.
