Teachers tend to use multimedia animation model to explain abstract chemical conceptsand principles with the wide use of computers. However, teachers design animation merelyaccording to the description of knowledge content and ignoring the systematicness andopenness of knowledge itself, which results in a simple and intuitive animation that containspart of scientific problems. Such a simple animation helps students to understandsuperficially but can not necessarily explain the prototype correctly because chemical particlemotion is different from physical mechanical movement and chemical system isn’t amechanical combination of all parts.We will likely stay outside the door of science forever if we blindly let science down to astandard that we can understand easily in the teaching process because science itself isabstract. Thus we can’t really close to science and cognitive science. Our teaching media isn’ta tool that assists students to acquaint pseudoscience but one that helps students to understandthe true knowledge.The multimedia animation models are analyzed under holism horizon in this paper.Through summarizing and analyzing the interview of front-line teachers we make theconclusions: Holism model theory has guiding significance for multimedia animation; Thecontents of multimedia are iconic and intuitive but they are lack of scientificalness; Teacherscan’t understand the discipline deeply enough and some teachers ignore students’ thinkingcharacteristics, which results in obvious abuse.In this paper, the author put forward two suggestions to the teachers and teaching modelat present stage. The teacher should examine and correct the animation model under the viewof holism model to construct animations which are more close to nature and more opening.Teachers should strengthen their understanding of chemical science and enrich theirknowledge. They also need to consider the continuity of all factors of science and payattention to systematic of knowledge so that they can grasp the method of using animationmodel better and guide students to understand science more correctly.
