With the strengthening of the globalization, the relationships among thecountries are becoming closer and closer, and the teachings about the internationalrelations have received more and more concerns. In addition, the Sino-Japaneserelations are one of the most important foreign relations of China. Therefore theteachings of Sino-Japanese relations, especially the modern Sino-Japanese relations,have also become unavoidable in the history education of middle schools.In the latest round of the basic education curriculum reform, the cultivation of"knowledge and ability","process and method" as well as "emotional attitude andvalues" have been put in the same position. It is required that the traditional teachingmethods which just focus on the basic knowledge teaching are not suitable enough,the "emotional attitude and values" should also be concerned. In the textbooks ofmiddle school, the related teaching materials about the modern Sino-Japaneserelations mainly describe the history of the aggression of Japanese to Chinese nationand the resistance of the Chinese nation against Japanese. Since the "emotionalattitude and values" teaching has been involved in the teaching materials, during theteaching process of the Sino-Japanese relations, the teachers should not only paymore attention to the patriotism cultivation of the students, but also guide students toconsider the Sino-Japanese relations rationally.The thesis starts from teaching material. Firstly, analyzes the teaching materialsand then the distribution, characteristics and the existing problems of the teachingcontents. Secondly, according to the characteristics of the contents about the modernSino-Japanese relations in the teachings, the historical materialism, civilized historyviewpoint, modernized history viewpoint and global history viewpoint which are therelated historical views that suit for the teaching will be under comparison andanalysis. It is concluded that organic combination of these three views of history canbe used in the history teaching about the Sino-Japanese relations. Thirdly, the thesishas discussed the teaching methods about the Sino-Japanese relations in middleschool through the analysis of the specific teaching cases. In the last part of the thesis, it briefly describes the existing problems in the teaching process ofSino-Japanese relations.
