Children are natural philosophers, experiencing life while pondering over it. Onehundred kinds of thoughts is the result of the child’s ideas and to fathom them is thebasis of modern preschool education reform. However, in children’s immature mind’seye, what is life? Some relevant studies show that children possess naive theory ofbiology, and they are equipped with a little perception of growth, aging and death oflife. That paves the way for depicting the preconception of life process in youngchildren. Existing researches mainly devoted to seeking the general rule and agedifference of children’s understanding of life, but cannot insight into the children’spreconception of life. Therefore, I utilize profoundly revealing of5-6years oldchildren’s overall profile as the breakthrough point to develop my study. There are four stages in human life process, which are origin, growth, aging anddeath. Take Y kindergarten as an instrumental example, combining with the analysisof data and looking for the cause and the characteristics of the concept among youngchildren about the process of human life, I mainly adopt the interviewing method tocollect data, describing the preconception of life process of5-6years old children. Finally, based on children’s existing concept and combined with children’spsychological ‘characteristics, I’m going to try my utmost to explore the orientationof early childhood education. It has been found that5-6years old children think human-being must originatedin some objects or mysterious force, and individual life may exist in mother’s belly, for they are “self-centered” in comprehending fetus in mother’s belly and do notunderstand what inheritance is. In their opinion, it seems that growth is that changesof appearance, right and ability and it needs nutrition, rest and exercise; that aging ismainly the vary of appearance and the decline of physical function; that death, whichcan be divided into natural death and accidental death, means functional disappearand people would be something other if they died. Every phrase of life which isgeneral, natural, step-by-step, also, irreversible, carries on sequentially. What makesthe preconception of life process of5-6years old children being characterized asexperienced, presentative, erratic, self-centered, fairy colored and fuzzy casual linkedis that fairy tale, parents’ education, TV media, kindergarten curriculum, social group, books, life experiences as well as misunderstanding on words and so on. According to the results, we suggest that kindergarten science curriculumsupport children’s theoretical construction; that respect and treasure theirphilosophical wisdom and that respect their rights and mother nature.
