Research On The College Students’ Ideological And Political Education Under The Growth Concept

The concept of Ideological and political education is that society imposes certain ideas, social and political point of views, ethics etc. on social members in a planned and organized ways, so that it will push them to form the expected social practices.This paper defines growth as the undergraduate’ continuous development of their psychological, intellectual, moral parts, which finally leads to a more mature social status. Based on Marxist theory, we distinguish the connotations between growth and growth process from the perspective of the ideological and political education with the related knowledge of pedagogy, psychology; and raise general rules of basic characteristics through undergraduates’ growth, which support the theoretical foundation of growth for further study. The growth of college students is a mutual process combined with subjectivity and dominant forces. Subjectivity is the independence, autonomy, initiative and creativity that people shows in learning and developing the objective world. The fundamental objective of the college education is to help students get comprehensive development as well as the healthy growth. While it just matches the objectives of the ideological and political education, which emphasizes the concept of comprehensive and free development for human-beings. So that ideological and political education could guarantee the comprehensive development for persons.The channels that ideological and political education promotes college students’ healthy growth include the following points:encouraging communicative style education and changing educational research directions; arousing college students’ subjective consciousness to play an initiative role in learning; highlighting the characteristics of fairness and supporting the equal status for every college students; mobilizing undergraduates more unique and innovative thinking; strengthening targeted education and improving college students’ learning effectiveness.College-learning is the best period for students mastering the skills, also the important phase for consolidating their emotion, personality, moral development. It is a time that is very critical to set up the value views for world and life; they are at the threshold towards society with their interests, hobbies and feelings in perfect status. Besides, this stage is also the critical period for healthy growth of college students. Firstly, good physical quality is the basis for healthy growth,; secondly, political education guarantees their mature growth; while adaptability is also an important part in the growth needs; last but not least, ideological education is the key to ensure the perfect growth. Therefore, comprehensive improvement in the ideological, political, cultural, psychological, physical fitness is the most fundamental measure standards for undergraduates’ healthy growth. In fact, the comprehensive development of college students is the basic requirement of building a harmonious socialist society, which also shows the fundamental essence of concept "people-oriented"; most importantly, it will guarantee students’ healthy growth.
