Research On The Network Structure Of The Sina Microblogging Community

With the fast development of information technology,internet and reality areincreasingly linked.Complying with this trend, the internet has graduallydeconstructed the previous society mode and pushed us step into a whole new internetage.This study can be of direct academic value for filling the gaps of the research onmicroblogging social network structure.And this may also help us to learn the impactfrom the microblogging community.Using statistical and qualitative analysis methods,this thesis describe and analyzethe network structure of the Sina Microblogging Community.on this basis,this paperanalyzed and discussed the problem of the stratification and distribution of power.This paper considered microblogging community as a whole network,whilebloggers are individual nodes and node relation is“attention”,”forward”and”review”.Compared with traditional Internet virtual communities,microblogging communityshowed significant features that close to the reality of social.Each node has a realidentity and social relations which almost decided the node’s influence on theInternet.Follow the nodes and relations,this thesis summarizes several microbloggingcommunity”s local structure,besed on which the overall structure is discussed andfurther analyzed.The microblogging community network structure constituted by the two kinds ofstructure:the surface structure and hidden structure.The surface structure describes theexternal structure that can be observed which besed on static network structure.Withthe spread of topics,static network structure gradually becomes dynamic structurewhile the single-core structure gradually becomes multi-core structure.Hidden network structure mainly refers to the phenomenon of populationstratification that because uneven division of discourse right.There is no clearboundaries,and always constantly changing.Essentially,the hidden Network Structurecan be seen as the power flowing in the different groups which including everalaspects:the expanding discourse right of intellectual elites and celebritiesentertainment groups,the weakening discourse right of government and the bogus risediscourse right of the ordinary people.
