Physical activity is caused by skeletal muscle contraction body energy consumption increased activity. Physical activity has become the most important factor of current young students’ physical decline. To solve university student physique drop is often the most effective means of moderate physical activity, while walking and running is the most common form of exercise in physical activity. The intensity of the exercise is the key to determine the walking and running in scientific. Oxygen uptake is one of the most commonly and accurately used index to control the intensity of exercise, but in the practical application of direct measurement of oxygen uptake is limited by many factors, therefore, establish VO2formulas will bring great convenience for people. At present our country is lacking of walking and running oxygen consumption calculation formula about college students.OBJECTTVE:In this study, college students as the research object, through the implementation of a graded treadmill stress test, determination of each level of speed and load the oxygen uptake rate, walking and running oxygen uptake prediction equation is set up for college students in China, and with the ACSM oxygen uptake calculated formulas are compared. Establishment of oxygen uptake prediction equation will be walking and running to provide scientific guidance for the China Youth University students.METHODS:In60Tianjin University of Sport non-sports majors as the object of study (male=30, female=30), aged18-26years old.1.Body shape and performance test of60subjects, randomly divided into formula group (N=40) and test group (N=20), half male and half female.2.60subjects completed a graded treadmill stress test, man:3.0km/h,4.5km/h,6 km/h,7.5km/h,9km/h,10.5km/h,12km/h,7grade,0%grade, each lasting for2minutes. Woman:3km/h,4km/h,5km/h,6km/h,7km/h,8km/h,9km/h,7grade,0%grade, each lasting for2minutes.3.Using multiple linear regression model method to establish the equation groups of subjects oxygen uptake prediction equation.4.New formula predicted value and the measured value and ACSM prediction value, verify that the new formula is accurate.5.Test subjects at every stage of load VO2measured values are compared with the new prediction formula, the new formula test extension.RESULTS:1. According to the formula set of measured data and multilevel linear model method to establish students oxygen uptake prediction formula, the variable is heart rate (Heart rate, HR), free body mass(Free body mass, FFM), body weight (Body weight, BW). Male:VO2(1/min)=0.015×HR (BPM)+0.009×FFM (kg)-0.002×BW (kg)-0.743Woman:VO2(1/min)=0.005×HR (BPM)+0.010×FFM (kg)-0.001×BW (kg)+0.2392.The boys equations in the3.0~6.0km/h, the difference between the value and the measured value of prediction of91.79~288.09ml/min, SEE for17.20~40.12ml/min, E for87.42-205.60ml/min. In7.5km/h~12.0km/h, the difference between the value and the measured value of prediction of43.57-265.09ml/min, SEE for15.30~39.17ml/min, E for75.18~185.73ml/min.Oxygen uptake prediction values are overestimated in the3.0~6.0km/h, undervalued at7.5~12.0km/h.3.The girls equations in3.0~7.0km/h, the difference between the value and the measured value of prediction of77.83~534.31ml/min, SEE for24.27~62.04ml/min, E for122.35~216.28ml/min. In8.0~9.0km/h, the difference between the value and the measured value of prediction of20.40~62.62ml/min, SEE for30.2034.19ml/min, E for152.29-168.95ml/min.Oxygen uptake prediction values are overestimated in the3.0~7.0km/h, undervalued at8.0~9.0km/h.4.The boys group prediction value at6.0~12.0km/h speeds are more accurate than ACSM oxygen uptake calculated at3.0~4.5km/h speed, accuracy of less than ACSM oxygen uptake calculated value.5.The girls group prediction value at6.0~9.0km/h speeds are more accurate than ACSM oxygen uptake calculated at3.0~5.0km/h speed, accuracy of less than ACSM oxygen uptake calculated value.6.After the validation group cross validation, the new formula has good accuracy and generalization.CONCLUSION:1.In this study, The treadmill exercise load rate, lean body mass and body weight as variables to establish the oxygen uptake prediction formula of the young college students in walking and running, is targeted and feasibility.2.In this study, the oxygen uptake prediction equation which established in high load forecast accuracy is higher than that of ACSM oxygen uptake calculated formula, at low load forecasting accuracy has certain limitations.
