The Analysis Of Current Situations And Solutions Of Teaching Chinese In Vocational High Schools In Thailand

Nowadays, with the China’s economy rapid development and the expansion ofexternal trade, the number of people learning Chinese around the world is rapidlyincreasing. Besides, the people of learning Chinese also become more and more inThailand. In face of the opportunities and challenges, Thailand Ministry of Educationencourages the vocational high schools to set up Chinese language courses. However,due to the lack of comprehensive plan and faculty, Chinese teaching is facing a certaindilemma. Based on this situation, this thesis points out that there is a number ofconstraints of Chinese teaching in Thailand vocational high school, and it puts forwardcorresponding countermeasures.By the teaching experience of the author in Siam Commercial College ofTechnology, as well as the acquaintance of the other vocational high schools and therelated investigation information. This thesis firstly describes the feature of vocationalhigh schools, and it also gives a specifically description of the present status of Chineseteaching in vocational high schools. Then based on questionnaires survey of270Thaistudents, we make a specific analysis on the problems of Chinese teaching in vocationalhigh school, and we find that there are some certain problems in school policies,curricula, teaching methods, teaching materials, teaching staff and teaching object.Finally, according to the problems reflected in the survey, this thesis put forwardcorresponding countermeasures, which based on the teaching practice, and the authenticmaterials.The analysis of the problem of Chinese teaching in vocational high school willmake Thai Vocational Education Committee and relevant departments to know thesituations and the existent problems of Chinese teaching in Thai vocational high school.It also will let the Thailand relevant departments pay attention to the problems of Chinese education in vocational high schools, and take effective measures to solve these problems,promoting the development of Chinese education in Thailand vocational high schools.
