In recent years, with the popularization of compulsory education in China and the enrollmentexpansion of college and university, the high school education, in the middle layer, has been rapiddevelopment and ultra-large-scale high school began to appear all over the country.Ultra-large-scale high school played a huge role in easing the government’s education funds,meeting the social demand for quality education resources and improving our national overallcultural quality. However, since its organizational structure changes lag behind the expansion of theschool, the school management has become increasingly difficult. So, the ultra-large-scale highschool must be combined with internal and external environmental factors and reform its structuralin order to promote their sustainable development.By the method of literature review and field surveys, I began to study the ultra-large-scaleschool and its structure reformation. This article, a total of five chapters, can be divided into threeparts.The first part (Chapters I and II): Firstly, the article gives an overview of domestic and foreignresearch status of the ultra-large-scale high school and the historical evolution of the schoolorganizational structure. Then, we analyzed the background of the ultra-large-scale emergence ofhigh school organizational structure change from the three aspects of social transformation,education policy and the school is own. Finally, we researched the value orientation in the processof the school organizational structure.The second part (Chapters III and IV): Firstly, this paper analyzed the development oforganizational theory as well as typical organizational structure modes that taken by the highschool. And then, by studying three ultra-large-scale high schools, we analyzed the current organizational structure modes, its problems as well as the causes of the problems. Finally, fromthe analysis of the elements and objectives, we did in-depth research for two successfulultra-large-scale high schools’ structure change modes.The third part (Chapter V): By studying two successful change modes of organizationreformation, we gave advice on three aspects: The third part (Chapter Ⅴ): By studying twosuccessful change modes of organization reformation, we gave advice on three aspects: buildingflat, networked organizational structure; repositioning the roles of principals, administrators andteachers and creating a multidimensional, flexible self-update mechanism. Finally, we made areflection on school organizational structure change and suitable scale for the high School.
