The Research On The Graduate’ Employment And Influence Factors Of Performing Major(sports) In Shenyang Physical Education Institute

“Employment it the essential element to people’s livelihood”. How to enable more andmore people to have appropriate employment has already been raised to the national strategiclevel. In21stcentury, with the deepening reform of China’s higher education, employmentstructure has been transferred from the primary “monopoly assignment” to “independentchoosing profession and two-way selection”. The enrolment has been expanding, so has thegraduate number, which has greatly increased the competition. According to the current status ofuniversity graduates, the employment rate for PE major is relatively low, with unemploymentrate ranking top. How to help the PE major graduates find job has been a serious problem for thenation. To dispatch qualified talents for various positions is greatly concerned with the learninginitiative for PE major students, as well as the enrolment. From a higher level, it is also closelyrelated to the realization of national strategy for nationwide fitness programs and establishmentof sports power.This thesis focuses on the employment for2011,2012and2013grade of Sports Exhibitionmajor graduates in Shenyang Sport University. Through the research on recent years ofemployment situation, the purpose is to elaborate on the status, problem, experience and rules forthat major’s employment, so as to provide reference for talent cultivation of Sports Exhibitionmajor students, which will also be beneficial to sport talent allocation, teaching system andpositioning for the major’s philosophy.Based on the analysis of status, it is concluded that during the recent five years, the generalemployment rate for Sports Exhibition major graduates is quite positive. The salary for majorgraduates is2500-3500RMB,with only4.2%earning salary above3500RMB.Most graduates arenot satisfied with current job. And the main employers are enterprises and schools. For SportsExhibition major in Shenyang Sport University, the whole employment is quite good, which willalso promote the future employment and teaching system. The major impact for this majorgraduates is the traditional employment value and the current teaching resources at campus.Suggestion: enhance the efficiency for university employment counseling; provide thestudents with necessary employment information to meet their need; change the employmentvalue for the students and encourage their entrepreneurship; adjust the curriculum setting forSports Exhibition major to meet the society’s need; enable the students to have a betterknowledge for their future profession; maximize the opportunities for students’ internship;strengthen the cooperation with society and establish effective employment stage.
