With the continuous progress of China’s reform and opening up, the social and culturallife domain is undergoing complex and profound changes, which not only brings unprecedentopportunities to the development of higher education in China, at the same time, highereducation is facing grim challenge. In recent years, the reform of higher education hasbecome the important problem, particularly; college students’ personality education isregarded as the main contents of the reform of the higher education. The importance ofpersonality education is increasingly recognized and accepted by people, higher education isnot only to learn and transfer of knowledge, more important, it is to cultivate people’ssentiments and foster healthy personality. In order to realize the positive role of highereducation in the process of formation and shaping of healthy personality, we need to examinethe specific situation, which the contemporary college students are facing from the standpointculture transition, to analyse the factors which restrict and influence the College Students’personality development, and to explore mode and method in the implementation ofpersonality education. Based on the background contemporary Chinese culturaltransformation, the content of our research mainly consist of the following aspects.Firstly, we will study the relation of culture transformation and personality education. Atfirst we examines the relationship between the individual, society, culture and thetransformation of contemporary Chinese culture essence, we point out that the universitystudent personality modernization is the inevitable requirement of the contemporary Chinesecultural transformation, and that the modernization of personality is the new requirements ofthe personality of college students, the Contemporary University student should to becomesubjective, competitive, tolerant, open and harmonious personality.Secondly, we analyzed the current situation and causes contemporary university studentpersonality. We investigated the characteristics of the formation and development of collegestudents and the main problems existing in the development of the personality of collegestudents, and elaborate the influence on College Students’ character development from therespect of multi-culture, open culture, the view of interest and network cultural enticement.Thirdly, we try to research the content education of college students personality underthe background of the transformation of Chinese-culture. The content of PersonalityEducation mainly included education of the self-consciousness, emotion education, valueseducation and behavior model of education. Through the education, contemporary collegestudents should form the correct sense of self, good social adaptation ability and emotionalregulation ability, to be the stable behavior mode, and to achieve the harmonious development between knowledge, emotion and desire.Lastly, we study the measures of education of College Students’ personality educationunder the background of the transformation of Chinese-culture. We point out the measuresconsist of the construction of multiple-level personality education curriculum system whichregard the personality education as the core, and supplemented by the professional course; thestrengthening of the campus culture infiltration; the providing of the personality practiceopportunities; and cultivating of students’ cultural consciousness. Through the measures, wecan promote the work of university students’ character education, and improve theeffectiveness of College Students’ personality education.
