With the rapid development of modern information societies, scientific and effectivemanagement communications play an enormous role in orgnizational managements.Scientific and effective communication capabilities in universities can reach such somegoals as follows:(1) it can provide basic safeguards for university decision-making;(2) itcan effectively realize the goals of educations and managements;(3) it is conducive touniversity staff to understand the goals and management systems of universities and thusit is conducive to promoting the development of university culture;(4) it is conducive touniversity staff to communicate and dicuss with each other so that this can promoteinterpersonal relationships more harmonious and unisonous. Thorefore, it can be said thateffective management communications are the key for universities to make scientificdecision-making and are also the cornerstone for universities to implement successfulmanatements. As a university grassroots manager, the author discovered by means ofown long-term managemant practices and abundant communications with thepredecessors that there were still many managers not really to realize the importance ofthe communications, or many other managers to be aware of the significance of thecommunications but to lack experiences for reference so that they finally carried outinefficient managements. For the fact that the communications of university managementare at present not too perfect, the author think it very necessary and applied to investigatethe management communications in universities.The author selected three representative universities in city Was the study object andthe circumstances of the communications during the implementation of the faculty postproject as the research contents in this paper. We attempted to find out the main prolemsin the management communications and the solutions to these problems by combiningthe two methods of questionnaires and interviews. By studying the relationships ofmanagements and communications and finding the problems and the conflicts in theactual situations, the paper attempted to help managers to understand the problems of management communications and managed to put forward some useful solutions for thegrassroots managers. In addition, this study could also make more persons to realize theimportant roles of communications in university managements and make them toconsciously cultivate and improve their own communication skills so that the overalllevel of the university managements was ultimately improved and enhanced.The main research contents of this paper were discribed as follows. Firstly, bycarefuly consulting a great number of references and materials on this subject,the basicconcept and the basic theory of management communications were defined clearly in thepaper. Secondly, by collecting and collating the questionnaries and analyzing thecontents of the interviews, we summed up such some prolems about managementcommunications in the three universities as follows:(1) the management organizationstructure of the universities was not very reasonable;(2) the mutual communicationawarenesses among the managers were not very intense;(3) the managementcommunication channels within universities were not utilized fully, reasonably andeffectively;(4) the feedbacks to the communications were not very smooth. Finally, bysynthetically using principles of organizational management, management psychologyand principles of human resources to investigate the current situations, the obstacles andthe causes for the obstacles of the management communications in universities, somehelpful proposals were put forward to improve the management communications ofuniversities from such some aspects as follows:(1) the perspectives of improving theorganizational management channels;(2) the perspectives of managers;(3) theperspectives of teachers;(4) the perspectives of the roles of information platforms. Theresearch aimed at improving the awarenesses of management communications ofmanagers and provided some useful suggestions for the universities’ managers inscientific and effective management communications in the future so that theeffectiveness of universities’ managements was enhanced and consequently various workof universities could develop forward rapidly and healthily.
