| Chemistry in middle school is a course which combined with theory and practice.Chemical experiments bring intuitive feelings to students and help them understand andmemorize knowledge. Middle school chemical virtual experiment platform is a virtualchemical laboratory simulated by computer on which users carry on chemical experiments.The platform not only gives more opportunities to users to carry on experiments, but alsocontributes to saving resources and protecting environment.Middle school chemical virtual experiment platform is based on Browser/Serverstructure. The system builds a virtual devices library, models chemicals and experimentphenomena in client, and implements an automatic chemical reaction inference module inserver. The modeling of devices, chemicals and phenomena are implemented with ObjectOriented Modeling technology, and system designs operations for devices which containadding into or removing from platform, putting chemicals in and assembling. Chemistryknowledge base stores data in platform, the data contains information of chemicalelements, chemicals information, chemical clusters and chemical equations. The processof the automatic chemical reaction inference module is described as follows. Firstly, theserver receives chemicals and conditions from client, and analyses the chemicals fromwhich decompose out particles and work out valence. Secondly, it refers the reactors andcondition by rules which summed up from decomposition reaction, combination reaction,replacement reaction, double decomposition reaction and works out products andequations. Lastly, the server returns results to the client. The client displays phenomenawhen it receives feedback from the server.The experimental results show that middle school chemical virtual experimentplatform has achieved the needed functions and provides high accuracy, stability andinstantaneity. In order to further simulate reality, the platform needs more improvement inextensible functions and multistage reactions. |
