Money is an important part of our economic lives. It is regarded as a symbol of wealth, identity and power. The attitude towards money is an important part of values. It is including the understanding of the nature of money, and the behavior of getting and controlling the money guided by this understanding. Junior middle school students are now in a critical period to form the clear concept of money. Carrying on the study of their cognition and handling of money at this stage, helping to grasp overall situation of the present stage of junior middle school students’education on attitudes towards money, discover the most important factors affecting it, and form the rational attitudes towards money. In this paper, I explore the impact of family environment on the junior school students’attitudes towards money.The impact of family environment on the junior school students’attitudes towards money is systemically and detailly studied based on questionnaires among588junior school students in the Pingdu Experimental Middle School and Dianzizhen Middle School of Shangdong Province, which are combined with other relevant data collected.Firstly, the overall status of the modern junior school students’attitudes towards money is described in terms of the cognition and handling of money. And then the basic situations of various elements of the junior school students’family environment, including living pattern, parenthood, education level and professions of their parents, are investigated. Finally, the relationship between the family environment and junior school students’money attitudes is explored, and multi-analysis to the factors affecting their money attitudes is performed as well. Results show that half of the junior school students have relative rational money cognition and consumption behavior, but they lack financial awareness. Among the elements of family environment, impact of parenthood on the junior school students’money attitudes is the most significant factor, secondary the education level and professions of their parents, while their living patterns have no influence basically.
