Teachers’ teaching activities and reflections are inseparable. Teaching reflection throughoutthe teaching activities is an important part of teachers’ cognitive activities. In addition, teachingreflection is considered as the basic way of teachers’ professional development, reflection abilitybecomes an important symbol of teachers’ professional growth and development. As the effect ofteaching reflection are agreed by front-line teachers and education workers, more and moreteachers involved in the teaching reflection. But, the reflective effect in practice is not satisfactory.First using the method of literature analysis, this paper analyzed the current situation ofteachers’ teaching reflection and the existing problems. Then through the questionnaire survey, weunderstand present situation of teachers’ teaching reflection and the influencing factors of teachers’teaching reflection, and the hopeful function of reflective environment. Finally, we found that dueto a lack of timely communication and exchanges, teachers’ reflection is usually based on theindividual; Due to lack of group interaction, the wisdom which was produced teacher in theprocess of reflection cannot play their role in teachers’ group and let the other teacher inspired;Lacking necessary support and help, the teacher who was in the phase of professional developmentcan’t get help and solutions when they come across confusion and problems. Because of lackingexpert guidance, teacher’s reflection is often superficial; Due to a lack of scientific theoreticalguidance and operable method, the ways and form of teacher’s reflection were single. As a result ofvarious limitations, teachers usually can’t get sustainable development and support in anenvironment where they can share their ideas and get support from their peer.Along with the development of network technology, teaching reflection can be achieved byusing computer network technology, which can provide various supporting conditions for teachers’teaching reflection, including the tools, resources, technology and so on. As a new teachingreflection environment, the network environment has been widely used, but current networkenvironment which support teachers’ teaching reflection at home and abroad still exist somelimitations. After reviewed the limitations of current reflective network environment, according tothe existing problems in the teachers’ teaching reflection, the influencing factors of teachers’teaching reflection, and the results from questionnaire survey, we put forward the networkenvironment which support the teachers’ teaching reflection. On the basis we try to design and implement the network environment. Hoping to provide a platform to satisfy teachers’requirements of communication and sharing, so as to improve teachers’ teaching reflective abilityand promote their professional development.
