With the advent of the Internet age, the web popular language becomes a new thing,because of its simplicity, creativity, entertainment and other features just to meet thepsychological needs of young students, becomes the creation and users-the youngstudents to show themselves, pay attention to the social reality, participate in nationalpolitical issues, alleviate the psychological pressure of the carrier. At the same time, theweb popular language has the impact on young students’ thinking consciousness, valueconcept and psychological, as young students of their own characteristics and lack ofnormative web popular language and other reasons, making the web popular language foryoung students will also have a negative effect, which requires the government,universities and online media to guide young students on the proper use of the webpopular language. This paper focuses on the influence of web popular language for youngstudents’ ideological consciousness,guiding young students to establish a correct outlookon life, world outlook and values, leading young students to have a dialectical view on theweb popular language in order to enhance their own civilization accomplishment. It also isbeneficial to the development of Ideological and political education in universities.This paper is divided into five parts. The first part introduces the topic background,indicating significance of this study, review research status, describes the contents andmethods. The second part introduces the basic concepts of the network buzzwords, anddiscusses the characteristics and background of the network buzzwords. The third partanalyzes the contact between the network buzzwords and young students, describes thepositive and negative effects generated by network buzzwords for young students ideology.The fourth part analyzes the reasons for network buzzwords influence young students ofideology. The fifth part is to guide young students how to properly use the networkbuzzwords are summarized and discussed.
