With the rapid development of the channels and the tools of the network informationcommunication today, middle school students still have the problems of information poverty.And social media provide a broad space for the secondary school students to exchangeinformation. Meanwhile sharing of information is an important means of access toinformation, so it is necessary to study. Based on the investigation of the related researchresults in the information sharing theory, carry out investigation on middle school students’information sharing behavior. And then summarize the information sharing object preferences,type and characteristics of information sharing preferences, information sharing channels andmethods preferences, motivations in the process of information sharing, emotional changesand problems about the school students when sharing information.In this paper, the background of the current study is analyzed in the introduction part,summarizes the relevant theoretical researches on information sharing and informationbehavior of middle school students, emphasizes the importance of the study of informationsharing behavior of the middle school students, introduces the empirical research methodbased on the Information sharing theory, and combined with interviews and questionnaires.The second chapter reviews the theory of information sharing, summarized the means ofinformation sharing, introduces the process, motivations emotional changes in the process ofinformation sharing. The third chapter describes the design of the study, introduce theinterviews and questionnaires, and has a preliminary analysis of the survey data. The fourthchapter finds that middle school students in the selection of information shared objects tend tochoose person who have common characteristics with him, through the results of theinterviews and the analysis of the survey results. In the choice of information sharing channels,middle school students tend to share information through the network, sharing therequirements of convenient, and instant message is better meet the needs of high schoolstudents. It describes the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of the process of high schoolstudents to share personal information, and emotional changes in the information sharing process. The fifth chapter analyzes the problems of personal privacy, information quality, andnetwork ethical which the students encountered issues the solutions. Finally, there is asummary of the text proposes the significance of the study, analyzes the existing lack ofresearch, and looks to the future directions of the research.
