| Tibet lies in the highest Qinghaiï¼Tibet plateau which is a part ofthe People’s Republic of China. comparing to the educational level ofother developed regions in our country,Tibetan overall educationalstandard,is relatively lower.The education of the minority area hasalways highly valued by Chinese government, which inspired me to theinitiation of this study. Taking Lhasa as an example, this study aims toinvestigate the overall teaching and learning pattern of English grammarin junior high school in Tibet, and the corresponding countermeasureswill be elicited. The relevant research findings in this field contributed byprevious scholars are to be referenced in this study, and the currentEnglish grammar’s teaching and learning situation in junior high schoolsin Tibet is taken into consideration seriously, the study aims to find outthe problems, and countermeasures, so as to improve the Englishgrammar’s teaching and learning, as well as the overall status of Englishteaching and learning in junior high schools in Tibet.This study hasrandomly selected the subjects from three junior high schools,including akey public school,an ordinary public school, and a private school. In thisstudy, literature method, questionnaire method and other methods areemployed and some suggestions are offered in the end.This thesis consists of six parts. Chapter One is Introduction, the research background,research purpose,research content and researchmethod are introduced.Chapter Two is Literature Review, the researchsituation at home and abroad is illustrated and relevant concepts aredefined.Chapter Three is the Results of Statistical Analysis, the dataobtained from the questionnaires will be processed and the results of thestatistical analysis are presented.Chapter Four,based on the results of thestatistical analysis,the problems of English grammar’s teaching andlearning in junior high schools in Lhasa are expounded, and the reasonsare further analyzed.Chapter Five, to improve the overall situation ofEnglish grammar’s teaching and learning in junior high schools in Lhasaand Tibet, some suggestions are proposed.Chapter Six is Conclusion, theresearch conclusion is drawn,the drawbacks of the study are proposed,and the further direction of the study is pointed out. |
