The development of society and economic prosperity has brought the trend of internationalization of education. In this context, New era citizens’ demands for culture are increasing. Outside the inheritance develop of our own culture, Learning foreign culture is increasingly important. The transformation of Curriculum research paradigm also brought new breakthrough in the research of the textbooks, Chinese textbooks as the carrier of human culture and communication tools are also closely watched. Study foreign culture in the textbook formally in such an environment shows its necessity and value. Since the establishment of our country. People’s education publishing house has published eight sets of primary school Chinese textbooks. In these few decades, Our country has experienced great changes in politics, economy and culture. Paper choose foreign culture in the textbook as the breakthrough point, analysis the foreign culture study in eight sets of primary school Chinese textbooks. Trying to solve the following questions:what is the foreign culture the Textbooks reflects? Where is the change of foreign culture in textbooks along with society’s change? how is the trend of foreign culture in textbooks would be in the future?With these thoughts, Research according to the following ideas:The introduction part expounds the basic reasons why we select foreign culture as the study, detail research idea, research objects, research methods. In the first part of the paper, we define the key concepts based on predecessors’ research, then summarize the culture research and foreign culture research in textbook, And combining the predecessors’ research to build a relatively complete analysis framework. Mainly from the land and geography, social system,character image, literary works and interpersonal relationships for inspection. In the second part of the paper, we analysis the text according to the analysis framework, this part is also the most important of the paper, we decide to investigate the analysis framework with five dimensions as mentioned before. On analysis method of this research, frequency statistics and content analysis are mainly used to discuss and interpret the five aspects. In land and geographic latitude, we explain the changes of quantity of exotic geographic textbooks in eight sets of primary Chinese textbooks, then examine the change of direction the countries and geographical landscape involved in the textbooks. In the latitude of social system, we select the foreign social system textbooks and make a longitudinal comparison, review the number changes of selected articles, then analysis the change of central ideas of the specific textbooks and try to explain the reasons why the changes happened. In the latitude of character image, we focus on the people’s occupation, gender, nationality, etc to find out the presentation of exotic character, and explore its evolution rule. In the latitude of literature, we mainly focus on the genre, theme, national belong to find out the change direction of foreign literature in eight sets of Chinese primary school textbooks. In the latitude of interpersonal relations, after finish selecting all the articles about interpersonal relations we classify them. Looking for the changes and explain the reasons why the changes from the angle of sociology. Thesis mainly present the foreign culture in eight sets of Chinese primary school textbooks, and explore its inheritance or taxis. The third part of the paper is conclusion and suggestion, we find the following conclusions from five dimensions:exotic geography from Russia to the global, classic get inheritance, the attention of foreign social system keeps a relative stability degree, the critical consciousness is conveyed, the image character career of exotic character is widely distributed, gender difference is obvious, gradually adults to children, The attention of foreign literary works is increasing, the range’s choice of work is increasing, the species of exotic relationship is increasing, Political relationship to life. Finally, we propose two advices from the writing aspect of the textbook and the using aspect of the textbook.
