Ceremony is a complex and multi-faceted concept, anthropologists, sociologists and theologians had studied ceremony for a long time,while educators have turned their sight on ceremony in recent years. Especially in elementary schools,a lack of systemic research and discourse on ceremonial education,so the great function of ceremony has not been fully developed and used.Therefore,the author tries to fill in the blank by selecting elementary school as special research perspective,here I choose some activities and cases in elementary school as subject,and I aslo combine sociological and cultural perspective together in order to find present situation and problem in elementary schools,then I put forward some feasible suggestions to urge students acquire knowledge more effectively in relaxed ceremony,finally I hope students can form positive value and outlook on life, train students’s comprehensive qualities and achieve ultimate goal of school education.The first chapter is introduction. A brief list of the current research status on this issue, innovation and deficiency of paper are introduced. In addition, the brief background of this study, the purpose and significance of the research, the methods and experimental thoughts are also presented in this chapter.The second chapter is theoretical part. The author starts from the concept definition,then define ceremony from five aspects:foreign material, Chinese traditional culture, different dictionaries,different subjects and perspectives,essencial factors of ceremony. Then the author argues theory and rationality of ceremony education from sociological and cultural perspective.The third chapter is empirical part. The author gives analysis and induction on present situation and problem in elementary schools through observation interview.The fourth chapter is countermeasure part. The author firstly discuss the goal of ceremonial education in elementary schools, that is to train students’s comprehensive qualities. Then the author tries to give some feasible suggestions and measures on how to implement ceremonial education in elementary schools,such as ideas,ways and methods.The chapter five is reflection and conclusion part. The author thinks elementary school is a important phase in a person’s growth process,students’age and feature decides they have high plasticity,so a vivid and infectious ceremony can leave them deep impression. In this chapter,the author proposes some ideas,ways and methods on reconstruction of ceremony in elementary schools, let ceremony activities play an important and special role in elementary schools, ultimately promote students develop comprehensively, harmoniously and healthily.
