Teachers and students throughout the educational process are interdependent and inseparable elements, while their relationship, which is crucial in education, also becomes one of social course of study. Among teachers and students, there took shape a relationship, including locations and patterns they exist, and mutual effects. Educational activities in schools and certain cases are persistently reflecting mitsein of teachers and students. The historical limited reason of teacher-student relationship, therefore, teacher-student relationship has become a significant feature at historical stages. Good teacher-student relationship is to improve the quality assurance of school education, but also is an important aspect of social spiritual civilization.In this paper, the role of expectancy theory is applied into rethought the current status of teacher-student relationship in secondary schools and reasons for unharmonious teacher-student relationships through questionnaire survey towards the teacher-student relationship of middle school. To start from teachers, this paper put forward proposals to improve the relationship and find effective ways to communicate with students. By constructing a new teacher-student relationship, we will reach the results——to optimize the real purpose of teaching and learning, to improve students’ healthy personality and innovation, and to make the leading role of teachers and students bring out the best in each other. Breaking through the shackles of traditional education, the idea would train not only teachers of democratic types, but also students with innovation sense. As a result, the issue of "difficulties to teach the book" will be solved, and a new teaching situation will be formed. As a democratic, equal, new relationship can also promote development and progress of students’social skills, self-awareness, so the study has certain theoretical and practical significance.
