An Empirical Research On Enhancing Mutual Understanding Between Teachers And Students

The relationship between teachers and students has always been anunavoidable topic in school education teaching activities. If the relationship betweenteachers and students is well handled, teachers and students can mutual sympathy andunderstanding, which is helpful for education teaching activities.The key ofralationship between teachers and students lies in mutual understanding, which hassuch features as reciprocity, interactive, co-existence, symbiotic characteristic.Understanding between teachers and students would be good for bulding favourablerelationship between them, and is good for the further development of the school andbenign circulation, and good for teachers’ professional development as well asstudents’ making progress.In order to find out the strategy to improve mutual understanding betweenteachers and students, it is necessary to survey the condition concerningnon-understanding and misunderstanding between teachers and students in dailyeducation. The survey shows that it lies in two sides-one results from teachers’repectlessness of students, unwareness of students’ differences in intelligence andindividual differences; the other results from studetents’ ignorance of teachers’professional features and lack of consideration for teachers as ordinary people.To promote mutual-understanding between teachers and students, it is firstlynecessary to change non-understanding between teachers and students by changingeducational environments, teachers and students. Secondly, eliminatemisunderstanding between teachers and students. Furthermore, it is important toexplore how to promote the mutual understanding between teachers and students. Atthe same time, students need put themselves in teacher’s shoes to understand teachers’profession better and respect teachers more. In this case, it is not difficult to realize mutual-understanding between teachers and students.
