In recent years, China’s ethnic regions attract more and more travelers,in order to enjoy beautiful scenery, special ethnical feelings, and the deeply traditionalethnicculture. These activities can stimulate economic development, by enrichingindustrial infrastructure structure, and increasing the region’s standard of living. Whiletravel is a product of the modern market economy system;social capital will changewhen modern forms of travel meet the traditional local society. According to research,little systematic study exist on ethnic community social capital, and the impact oftourism on it.This article is based on Taoping Qiang-race Village, Li County, and Luobo Villagein Wenchuang City, to develop measurement scale of ethniccommunity social capital,followed by a statistical analysis on social capital stock data, and a rational analysis ofresulting research data.Chapter1: Introduction. Why this problem? Problem background and researchsignificance, research structure, methodology, uniqueness and outline chapter.Chapter2: Literature review. Analyzes the crucial theory of social capital andethnic community, which relates to the research theme, reviews and critiques existingliterature related to the measurement scale of social capital.Chapter3: The hypothesis for the problem and example options. The article willhypothesize the character of ethniccommunity’s social capital, based on previouslyresearch involving sociology and the ethniccommunity.Chapter4: Developing and establishing the measurement scale of ethniccommunity social capital. Based on literature research, theoretical discussion andquestionnaire survey,This chapter developed the social capital scale for ethniccommunity.the pilot test was conducted among105villagers.the result shows that the scale consists of7dimensions:interpersonal trust, institution trust, communityparticipation, community, belonging, reciprocity, network, national identity.Then thereliability and validity of scale were tested among175villagers.the scale showsacceptable reliability and validity.Chapter5: Data analysis and hypothesis testing. This chapter will be a statisticalanalysis on ethnic community social capital data, review the stock of social capital,analyzes its characteristics and verify the hypothesis of the third chapter.Chapter6: Research result and prospects. This chapter will represent the entireresult of the research, at the same time determining the limitations and disadvantages ofthis research, and will posit the direction of further study.
