Teaching material of physics is the carrier of scientific thought of physics, scientific knowledge, scientific methods and scientific quality. The textbook reform should meet the needs of new curriculum reform and correspond with the requirements of new curriculum concept. We carry out teaching material comparative study in line with international standards.This research should not only inherit and develop excellent teaching material writing style in our country, but also draw lessons from and absorb other countries teaching materials and complement each other.This article selects two versions of junior middle school physics teaching materials,one is People’s Education Press,another one is Tokyo Books Press.The paper uses literature research, content analysis and comparative study.Firstly,the paper introduces and compares the selected teaching materials in surface structure, it includes the selected teaching material structure and column setting, etc. And then, it presents the overall knowledge structure of two sets of teaching material by mind maps in order to describe the complete knowledge structure.The last but not the least,I classify the knowledge point to six modules:sound, light, power, heat, electricity and energy and select the similar section or knowledge to compare.According to the comparison I found that there was so little difference in knowledge structure and the proportional,but the number of knowledge points is different.Textbook structure consistent with middle school students’ cognitive level.
