Traditional language teaching aims at training and learning language points, while Task-based Language Teaching combines language learning and language application, which manages to realize the target of language learning and language use by performing different teaching tasks. Generally speaking, it can be summarized as "learning by doing, learning by using".Reading teaching is a very important part in English teaching. In recent years, many researchers have begun to do researches, and they try to explore the possibility and effects of Task-based Language Teaching in practical classroom teaching. On one hand, these researches offer the theoretical and practical implication; on the other hand, it helps students to master some effective reading skills and improves their comprehensive language competence. However, there are still some problems when Task-based Language Teaching is applied to classroom teaching.At the very beginning, this paper presents background information and elaborates the importance of carrying out Task-based Language Teaching. On the basis of related theories, the paper analyzes the teaching case which is researched for3months in Grade1, No.3Middle School, Tianjin Dagang District.The case combines the components and framework of Task-based Language Teaching to analyze teaching situations and find out the problems. In the end, the author makes the conclusion and puts forward teaching implications and research limitations.
