Attitude theory and ideological and political education have a certain fit,the process ofthe formation and change of attitude and Ideological and political education also haveinherent consistency, which provide us a new perspective for the innovation and developmentof Ideological and political education, namely by analyzing the current status of ideologicaland political education in colleges and universities with a new perspective, exploring reasonsfor the lacks of ideological and political education, researching methods to solve the problemof Ideological and political education, and exploring strategy and ways to enhance theeffectiveness of ideological and political education by the reference knowledge and researchmethods of attitude theory.First of all, this paper discussed the theory significance and the practice significance bythe application of attitude theory to improve the effect of Ideological and political education,and introduced some concepts related to attitude, the process and reason of attitude formation,the way and method of attitude change,which are the theoretical based on the premiseargument. Secondly, conducted a systematic analysis about the intrinsic association betweenthe attitude theory and ideological and political education, starting from the two parts whichare promotion from attitude theory towards ideological and political education and their twointernal relations to reveal isomorphism and consistency of attitude theory and ideological andpolitical education, which is the cornerstone of this paper research. Thirdly, in the perspectiveof attitude theory, analyzed the status of Ideological and political education in colleges anduniversities, and discussed achievement of Ideological and political education since it began20years, mainly reflected in the political, moral, ideological and psychological aspects of thequality are fully improved in the university college. However, it also pointed out someproblems in the process of Ideological and political education practice, such as part of CollegeIdeological and political teachers’ team construction lagging, part of college students’ lack oflearning initiative, deviation exists in the content of Ideological and political education, thepositive and guidance of education environment are weak and educational rationality andflexibility existed missing, etc. Finally, on the basis of the above, proposed some strategies toimprove the effectiveness of ideological and political education, including five aspects,namely, improve the overall quality of educators, and enhance the authority and credibility. Pay the attention to the dominant position of the education object, and realize the unity ofguidance and autonomy. Improve the science of ideological and political education,highlighting the times and hierarchy. Change the unity of education, improve the diversity andinteractivity. Optimize college education environment, and enhance the permeability andauxiliary.
