"The national medium and long-term education reform and development plan (2010-2020)" clearly pointed out:education is the foundation of one hundred plans while educating people is the fundamental requirement of education. The starting point and the foothold of all the work of school should be take the student as the main body, take the teacher as the leading factor, give full play to the initiative of the students, to promote student growth and success; take care of every student, to promote each student to be lively, vividly, and comprehensive development. The concrete implementation is the guarantee of educational equity, is not only the education opportunity equality, but also to protect the education process and the result fairness; to improve the quality of education, deepen the reform of curriculum and teaching methods, and gradually implement small class teaching, not only attach importance to the students’ cognitive development, more attention should be paid to the social development of students. Therefore, class size and student social development issues should be paid more and more attention from educators and researchers.In this paper, it takes the students and teachers from the fourth grade of three elementary schools as the research subjects. Analysis of elementary school class size in China and Research the different size classes, large, medium, and small, affect the students’social interaction through the survey method (questionnaire survey, observation, interview survey). Whether the impact of exploring different class size on teacher-student interaction, student-student interaction level, including the scope and ways of existence difference and what are the differences, provide reasonable recommendations to effectively promote students’ social interaction in the school life.This paper is divided into six parts:first, the introduction, to describe the background and significance of issues; second, is the theoretical basis of the study; third, research summary, summarize, analysis and commentary on class size and student social interaction related Researches, and define the concepts in this paper; fourth, the basic ideas and methods described in this study; fifth, research on primary school class size and class size effects on student social interaction, and study results presentation and analysis, and analysis of the related influence factors, the conclusion is:currently our primary classes presented large, medium and small size, while the class size and student social interaction degree has significant correlation, and the degree of social interaction of students in small classes best, followed by the middle, big class, and no significant differences in small classes of students’level of social interaction, most of them show the state of good communication; sixth, thoughts and suggestions, put forward in favor of students social interaction in different size classes recommendations from the perspective of class size, teachers and students.
