The Current Situation Of Students’ Motivation And Study Of Strategies Independent Colleges

Independent college plays a very important role in motivating the popularization of Higher Education. It is regarded as a new kind of school form. It is ranked in the third level of College Entrance Examination System and it is arranged after some important universities and some common colleges. Because of lower grades of CEES, the students of independent colleges have weak motivation of learning. The characters of students’ study can be summarized as follows:weak motivation; lack of enthusiasm of learning; poor learning ability and weak professional knowledge. But the students are divergent and innovative in some aspects. The students themselves have outstanding characters. The key to develop independent college is to improve students’ study motivation. The quality and way of teaching are very important to its development, too. Ministry of National Education promulgated the National long-term education reform and Development plan in2010. It greatly supports and encourages the development of private education. This law can motivate the development of independent college. This article aims to discuss students’ study motivation, analyze students’ current study situation, find some bad factors of learning and summarize some tactics to improve students’ motivation.This article studies the students from management and foreign language departments of WenLi College of BoHai University. The research needs to resolve some problems, including:What are the kinds of motivation of independent college? What’s the current situation? What are the characters of students’ motivation? Which factors can influence students’ motivation? What are the tactics of improving students’ motivation? This study bases on Osu Nepal’s motivation theory. Then the author depends a lot of current articles and researches to form a new structure. Then make a difference of motivation, including internal close-range motivation; internal vision motivation; external close-range motivation and external vision motivation. Based on the four visions, the author delivered330questionnaires in WenLi College of BoHai University. The valid of them were321. After sorting out and analyzing of the questionnaires, we can find the characters of independent college students. They are mainly about:lagging; negativity; diversity; purpose and personality. Although the learning strength of students is general, it still has some shortcomings, including:lack of learning interests and initiatives; easily influenced by other factors and so on. So this article can study from the four factors of nation, society, school and family. Then sort out the factors that influence students’ motivation. And we can summarize from five aspects to find out the tactics about how to stimulate and improve independent college students’ motivation. Thus,we can motivate students to work harder and improve their competitive strength.
