By means of referring to literature, questionnaires, experts interview and statistics, thisthesis concentrates on reform of PE courses in universities and colleges as well as the newproblems that have aroused after the implementation of new Outline, exploring how to deepenthe reform of PE courses according to the requirements of new Outline, to construct featuredPE courses with both function of keeping fit and cultural characteristics, both selectable andtimely, to reflect their features of time, development, nation and Chinese characteristics, andto push forward the construction of featured PE courses。The research results show that due to the educational reform in universities and collegesaccording to new Outline, domestic universities and colleges offer colorful PE courses to thestudents. But the featured PE courses construction is neglected. Even they are offered in someuniversities and colleges, they only serve to enrich the contents of PE courses instead offorming a system with distinguished characteristics.It is the basis of construction of featured PE courses in universities and colleges that theydecide how to development their own featured PE courses according to their own conditions.It is the basic step to deepen the reform of PE course and perfect the contents of featured PEcourses. It then requires to reform teaching models and methods and establish reasonableevaluation system. The universities and colleges should do the reform on course objectives,teaching models, teaching methods and testing methods guided by the new Outline to enablethe students get promoted in body building, psychological development and socialadaptability, and finally get advanced in sports participation, sports skills, physical healthconditions, psychological health condition and social adaptability.Construction of featured PE courses will finally form a campus sports culture, and playan important part in cultivating campus culture.
