The Study On Bilingual Education Development In Inner Mongolia

Since1960s, China established its bilingual education (one language as standard Chinese and the other as the ethnic language) in schools and had reached a depth in the spreading of this policy since1980s. After third plenary session of the11th central committee of the chinese communist party, government has focused more in the economic growth in the ethnic regions, more measurements have been planted in this field. However, due to the restrains of the Chinese ethnic groups in their location, tradition and feature economics, challenges are still remaining in the Chinese bilingual education policy. As a foundational factor in education policy for ethnic groups. The developments of bilingual education policy are connected to the prosperity of the ethnic groups and play an important role in the national unity, equality, development.The inner Mongolian region has been a typical municipality of bilingual education development; the Mongolian-Chinese bilingual education was used as a main solution in the inner Mongolian ethnic education. Also is a necessity required for the modernization of ethnic area. Since the establishment of the PRC, the Mongolian-Chinese bilingual education has been developed fast under the national policy; however, it’s still to be perfected.This paper has embraced the bilingual education development in Kezuohou Banner,Tongliao city of Inner Mongolia, investigations of survey method, analytical method, literature analysis, inductive method have been used in the bilingual education development. Also suggested solutions to the current activities, by which the developments can be analyzed and supported.
