School culture is the soul of the school, and it is also the power and source of the development of the school. It not only has the common character that it changes with the development of social culture, but also has the personality that it differs from other schools in components and backgrounds. It is the foundation and impetus to support school existence and development. The school’s educational ethos, educational thoughts, educational activities, and the school atmosphere are the reflection of it. More and more school administrators realize that in order to survive and develop in competition, we must reform the traditional school culture to meet the needs of education reform and the development of society. Many schools try to build the sustainable school culture by beautifying the campus, setting up the image and creating brand initiatives, but if the construction is not rooted in the spiritual world of the school and the teachers and students, but only remains the shallow surface and becomes a label, construction could not bring tremendous development for the school, also such this culture may not form a cultural power. Some school cultures always go out of "material culture" construction of ideas, basically a layout design or cultural activities in a cultural environment, which is the reason why the school culture is rich, but not the basic cause of happiness and joy to the students. To the cultural value, the school culture theory must be based on the philosophy of life, culture and the real return to the students’own spiritual life. Many previous studies only focused on the simple social ethics view, from the perspective of spiritual civilization of spirit culture, and ruled out of cultural ontology research. This paper attempts to analyze and explore the current school culture status, problems and strategies from the aspect of paying attention to the spirit and the growth of life. The whole article is divided into four parts:The first part points out the drawbacks of the current school culture characterization.The second part analyzes the reasons why school culture falls into a wrong path.The third part presents cultural restructuring phenomenon in Wuxue normal affiliated primary school.The fourth part explores school cultural strategy based on spirit reconstruction.The construction of school culture should follow the people-oriented principle, return to the living world, show concern for the minds of teachers and students, and pay attention to the emotional experience. During the specific process, it should focus on "life" instead of "efficiency", pay attention to the psychological adjustment and education in the work and study of teachers and students, and improve their sense of well-being and happiness, and their sense of belonging, honor and value as well.
