Positive psychology is a new perspective of psychological research on various beautifulfactors about daily life, and it is proposed by American psychologist at the end of twentiethCentury. Not study on the diagnosis and treatment of psychological problems as traditionalpsychology, positive psychology shift perspective to the human inherent qualities, studyingand exploring the human positive character and potential and the final unfolds in life. PositivePsychology advocate positive personality and subjective experience, such as optimism,personality power, interest and pleasure. Positive psychology think that all good relationshipsand beliefs can help human to further improvement and can make life and human emotionsmore healthy and beautiful, such as friendship, marriage, family, education, religion, etc.This theory brings a new power to all walks of life. By the extensive research on thepositive psychology the author hope can bring some enlightenment on current situation of thepoor ideological and political education. This paper is divided into three parts, layer uponlayer to promote: first, On the basis of understanding the significance, purpose and train ofthought to clarify the relevant concepts and research status of positive psychology, such as themeaning, theory, research origin and domestic and foreign review and the content and statusof Ideological and Political Education. Two, analysis of the ideological and politicaleducation from positive psychology in the feasibility and necessity is used to discover thecontent of ideological and political education need to improved by positive psychology. Thispaper used ideological and political education questionnaire to collect informations of theeducation situation in the eyes of students and contents students want to improved. Byinvestigating teaching content about the apply of active content and active intervention toanalysis the practical difficulties of Ideological and Political Education. Three, using the threemajor theory of positive psychology--positive experiences, positive personal qualities andpositive organizational content--to discover ways and means about ideological and politicaleducation using positive psychology.Through the above study confirmed the possibility and the theoretical prospect ofIdeological and Political Education from perspective of positive psychology and found thatthe ideological and political education must change the way of thinking about treatment ofideological problems existing, get rid of the traditional mode of education. In addition, theideological and political education should be added to the active teaching content, change thedull teaching atmosphere and take the humanities concern into the heart of students, changestudents from passive learning to active exploration and verification from practical trip. In this paper, through innovative thinking breaks through the traditional program, startingfrom the theory of positive psychology, such as happiness, achievement of specific interest,optimistic, strength of character, positive interpersonal relationship, active organization, andalso improve the effectiveness of Ideological and Political Education ways and methods tomore microscopic meticulous angle and have a more specific directivity.
