Confucius is a famous thinker and educator in ancient China. His education thought is thefoundation of our traditional education theory. He taught his students by his own precept andbehaviors. So the behavior education system thought had formed in his teaching career and itserves as the breakthrough point with the contemporary domestic education as a reference inmy essay which is aimed to dredge up the modern meaning of Confucius’s education thoughts.What’s more, This paper tries to seek the combination of Confucius education thought and thetheory of modern education expecting to provide effective ways for the development andimprovement of China’s education. It has very important theory meaning and realisticmeaning. The paper is divided into four parts:The first part: introduction. It briefly shows the purpose and significance of the topic in thispaper,reviews the history and present status of the study on Confucius ideological education,interpret and defines some basic concepts related and make clear the source of corpus.The second part:"The Analects of Confucius" and Confucius education thought. A. Thebackground of Confucius education thought. B. The analyses of Confucius EducationalPhilosophy, educational content and educational method based on "the Analects of Confucius"C. The status of Confucius education thought in the social life.The third part: The content of Confucius education thought. Words and deeds educationthought is an important part of Confucius education, and is also an organic part of Chinesetraditional education thought. Focusing on the words and deeds,Confucius put forward"words and deeds match righteousness","cautious",“words and deeds for one" and a seriesof universal education thoughts laying the ideological foundation of Chinese education theory.The fourth part: The significance of Words and deeds education. It mainly includes: firstly,perfecting the family and school educational philosophy; secondly, specification of educatorsand the educated; thirdly, providing specific methods of words and deeds.The Confucius words and deeds education thought does not fade with time goes by, instead,it still has theoretical and practical reference value in today’s education reform stage,Especially facing the quality education today, it has more important enlightenment tostrengthen people’s personality, responsibility and moral education.
