A Study On The Relationship Among Internet Addiction In College Students With Social Anxiety, Coping Style

Now, as the ratio of students Internet using is greatly improved, all kinds of psychologicalproblems caused by Internet addiction, such as college students psychological disorder orsocial adjustment disorder, and more and more students are disturbing by these problems.Students’ Internet Addiction also attracted the attention of many domestic and foreign scholars.this study is based on literature review, and then expand quantitative research byquestionnaire on Internet addiction disorder, social anxiety, and coping styles of collegestudents. Then, at the point of social anxiety and coping style, in a qualitative researchmethods to get the Factors Affecting College Students’ Internet addiction, and provide atheoretical basis for college educators related education; And as a basis, expand InternetAddiction Disorder group counseling. The followings are specific conclusions:(1) college students with Internet addiction exists objectively. Gender and grade factors have alarger impact of Internet Addiction Disorder.(2) Effect of gender and grade factors on Internet addiction of College Students is large.According to the gender, male students internet addiction was significantly higher than that ofgirls. From the point of view, the network addiction degree of junior is higher than othergrades.(3) The high Internet addiction and low network addiction students show significantlydifferent style in coping with difficulties. Students with high network addiction is porn to beself-blamed, lost in fantasy and back off when they are faced with problems, and they lessthink about they way to solve the problems as a mature do.(4) There was significant correlation with social anxiety and Internet Addiction, having adirect influence on Internet Addiction; and there was a significant correlation with each factor of copingstyle and Internet Addiction, also having a direct influence on Internet Addiction.(5) Social anxiety, coping style could influence of Internet addiction; Reasonable factor ofsocial anxiety and coping style have a predictive effect on Internet addiction. The path analysis showedthat, the social anxiety can also indirectly affect the network addiction by coping style. (6) The factors affecting students Internet Addiction include: the characters of students;interpersonal relationships and psychological feelings; family influence and the attractivefactor of the network itself.
