Study On Current Situation And Countermeasures Of Fencing Clubs In Beijing

For a long time, the Olympic plan and the National fitness program are twoprincipal themes on our country sports enterprise, and after years of efforts, ournational sports achievements are obvious to all. Under the national systemcompetitive sports makes a steady progress. In recent years, the competitive sportsfencing sport has obtained the good result, and because of the gold effect, fencingsport in teenagers growing, but compared with other popular items, there is a largergap.In recent years, Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and other in developed cities havebuilt fencing clubs successively, which is one of the important factors to spread anddevelop fencing sport. It’s particularly urgent and necessary to investigate the fencingclubs of Beijing in order to know the situation of the development of fencing clubs inBeijing, to find difficulties in the progress of fencing clubs and to explore the way tosolve problems. Studying on fencing clubs can provide reference for the developmentof mass sports in fencing with drawing lessons from.The paper adopted the literature material law, field observation method,questionnaire investigation, interviewing method and data statistics to survey fourfencing clubs of Beijing. They are Lao Shan Fencing Club, VANGO Fencing, Arthurfencing Centre and Beijing Qing Feng Fencing. The first two clubs Lao Shan club andVANGO club are on a large scale while the latter two clubs in a relatively small scale,which can reflect the status of fencing clubs in Beijing roughly. To interviewmanagers of the clubs and survey the coaches and members of four fencing clubs byquestionnaire are the main investigation methods. On the basis of relevant theoreticalperspectives fencing club domestic and overseas, to study the information about theoperation, coaches, members of the fencing clubs in Beijing, coaches, members andtwo larger club conducted a case study, to analyze the influence factors of fencingclubs of Beijing, to put forward the corresponding countermeasure and the followingconclusions:a. There is only one state-owned property of fencing club in Beijing. The rest aremostly private commercial clubs and account for the larger share of the fencing clubin Beijing; Most of them are located in the east of Beijing or its northeast of the goodpositions and relatively developed area.b. Beijing fencing club are mainly composed of membership, the managementmodes include simplification business model, diversified business model, andexperiential management mode. The most of club financial sources mainly come frommembership fees.c. The facilities are quite different due to the different sizes of the fencing club.d. The male coaches are more than females. Coaches lack of social experienceand undertake long working hours and workload. They don’t content to their salary. e. Club members compose mostly of teenagers and show a young trend.Members of the club are still satisfied.f. The external factors of fencing clubs in Beijing include social economic level,the fierce market competition, and related management department and theformulation of laws and regulations.g. The internal factors of fencing clubs in Beijing include their own factors,coach factors and member factors.At the same time put forward the corresponding Suggestions：a. Strengthen the fencing movement of mass popularity and publicity.b. According to the situation of the development of the fencing club in Beijing,further market research, broaden the financing channels of the club.c. Perfect the fencing club self building, equipped with complete facilities, forma reasonable organizational structure.d. Strengthen the construction of the coach team.e. strengthen the management of members.f. establish relevant laws, regulations and policies, unified management.g. to maximize avoid club security hidden danger.
