((National Ordinary College Sports Curriculum Teaching Instruction Summary)) pointed out clearly that teachers of general universities are supposed to implement the "Health First" guiding ideology,along with getting rid of the traditional teaching mode of physical education and meanwhile on the base of above, develop more sports curriculum content.Nowadays, the ecological environment is under threat and the students are placed in fierce competitions surrounded by complex interpersonal relationships, therefore it is urgent to release the burden on students’shoulders. This sort of sport is an. authentic "green movement" which is conducive to the healthy development of students. Thus, in these contexts, the author conduct researches emphatically from the particular case of Xiamen University sports courses in tree climbing, expecting to inspire more and more students in general universities and providing reference and guidance for further researches.This dissertation takes the tree climbing curriculum in Xiamen University as the case in which I employ the methods of document, interview, and survey to analyze the theoretical principles and practical significance of the tree climbing, a physical education curriculum to be launched in general universities. Through the specific teaching process, views of teachers and students are collected in the form of questionnaire, investigation, and analysis of tree climbing original purpose. Idea of Xiamen University and the specific situation of the curriculum of tree climbing courses is delivered, in addition, the basic thought of tree climbing in general university courses is put forward. A series of key problems mentioned in the dissertation requires to be emphatically grasped for universities where tree climbing courses are on the way of launching.The research results mainly include:①The process of tree climbing’s movement from career to the course is determined by the existed value of itself. From the theoretical basis of sport science and ecology botany, it shows that the theoretical knowledge has significant influence on the tree climbing course system construction.②The tree climbing sports has been introduced into college sport curriculums and this innovation not only enriched the content of education but also did good to the all-around development of contemporary university students. This innovation also helps students strengthen ecological environment consciousness and fill the blank of the surviving skills in teaching, exerting profound influence on students.③The conclusion of analysis on current tree climbing course is that the original thought mainly attached by the university leaders, who stressed the importance of physical education, helped to achieve important influence on students physical and mental development. In the meantime, the university has a strong economic and comprehensive strength, and more importantly the related faculty is comparatively equipped.④According to the F test and T test results:sig.p=0.000,the mean difference of95%confidence interval for{-1.0695,-0.7911}.untilateral threshold to.05(196)=1.648,to.o1(196)=2.334,so p<0.01,the tree climbing course influence the size of the students self-efficacy play a significant effect.⑤Based on the survey of the tree climbing course effect,93%of students think that tree climbing have a big influence on their personal life and study.⑥The research puts forwards basic measures for general university courses in tree climbing,including teaching guidance, ideology, objective,content, strategies and evaluation. It’s expected to provide certain reference for general universities.⑦Though the specific analysis of Xiamen University tree climbing course, it is concluded that the general university course in tree climbing basically has some problems, such as the found investment,safety consciousness, site setting and teachers resources.In general, as the reform of college going on, sports should get rid of traditional teaching pattern and enrich the curriculum with emerging sports items. It is in accordance with the current period of advancement. moreover, it inspires student to get involved in sports and explore happiness.More importantly, in the implementation of "Health First" guiding ideology, this approach fully embodies students in this own purpose.
