The survey on Weifang Kite was conducted through literature searching, interview, questionnaire and so on, aimed to analysis the inherit of the Weifang Kite. Besides, the main contents are sorted out by five aspecsts that the overview of historic ecolution, and previous efforts that government exerted, the analysis of current disadvantages infulenced by "government support", the analysis of governments cognitive behavior, and government actions made towards kite sports. The result was that the "government advantage" did have some effective effects on the scale, levels and influence of the previous stage of Weifang Kite inherit. However, the reality is quite worrying due to the changing circumstances, and we found the government behavior mismatched on cognition, financial support, propagate and regulations during the inherit of the Weifang Kite. In this case, Combined with pre-interviews and the guidance of the inherit theory, my suggestions are completing the regulations, enhancing financial, encouraging people to protect the Weifang Kite culture, accepting more advices from the experts, and enhancing the industrialization of the culture on the base of the protection. With the research and some advices we provided earlier, we hope to inherit the Weifang Kite sustainablely and provide driving force for government while making management policy and help protect and inherit the folk sport in the effective way.
