Research On The Historical Changes And Development Of Weifang Kite Sport

Kite-flying have a history of more than 2,000 years in China.Weifang in Shandong province is the birthplace of Chinese kite.With the change of history,the development of kite-flying movement in Weifang has undergone ups and downs.This study systematically analyzes the historical changes and development of kite-flying in Weifang by means of literature,interview,field survey,questionnaire and mathematical statistics,and puts forward some suggestions according to the problems existing in the development of kite-flying in Weifang.The conclusions are as follows:1.Weifang is the birthplace of Chinese kites and has a history of more than 2000 years.Kite-flying in Weifang has experienced the historical changes from the traditional period used for worship in the tang and song dynasties,the heyday of Ming and Qing dynasties,the decline period from the early days of the republic of China to the period before the reform and opening up to the period of recovery and development after the reform and opening up.The Weifang International Kite-flying Festival held in 1984 successfully opened a new era of kite-flying.From then the Kite-flying movement in Weifang entered a brilliant era and has become a comprehensive sport integrating culture,art,and sports.2.Since 1984,the 35 "Weifang International Kite Festival" have witnessed the development of the contemporary Weifang kite-flying movement.From the era of planned economy,which was completely led by the government and assessed by enterprises,to the operation of "government-sponsored,social participation,and market operation",to the complete market-oriented operation,Weifang International Kite-flying Festival is gradually reaching maturity.3.Deficiencies in the current development of kite-flying movement in Weifang:First,the government's support for kite-flying is not strong enough;Second,the shortage of professional personnel;Third,the promotion of international and domestic kite-flying competitions is not enough.These problems hinder the development of Weifang kite-flying movement.4.Put forward suggestions through the research:First,increase the government's support for Weifang kite-flying movement;The second is to improve the kite-flying technology and strengthen the training of Kite-flying professionals;Third,Build the city brand of kite-flying through diversified promotion.
