As one of the factors of students’ individuation and differentiation, learning style reflectsthe different preferences of students throughout the learning process. The main function of theonline Learning-guiding System is guiding.It should not only support the teaching model of"independent learning-based, instructor-supplemented", but also grasp the students’ owncharacteristics and provide guidance for students’ learning. Therefore, based on learning style,excavating personalized differences between students and developing the onlineLearning-guiding System is very important and significant.The thesis adopts literature research,theoretical analysis and design questionnairemethods.The main research and achievements are as followings.(1) Search, read and analyze literature, summarize the research status of learning style andonline Learning-guiding System and propose the issue of this research. Then,on the basis ofunderstanding of learning style and personalized learning, the thesis analyzes the model ofFelder-Silverman Learning Style and the scale of Felder-Silverman——ILS which to test thecategory of students’ learning style.(2) To analyze the theory guidance of Felder-Silverman Learning Style for the onlineLearning-guiding System, the thesis divides into three dimensions——the characteristics oflearners, resource content organization and learning process from the perspective of instructionaldesign, which provides a theoretical support for the design and development of the system.(3) The online Learning-guiding System is designed based on the Felder-SilvermanLearning Style.With the guidance of Felder-Silverman Learning Style, the thesis analyzes thedemands,the general design and the detail design of the software following the steps of systemdesign. Further more, the thesis defines the modules,data models and interfaces of the system.(4)Develop and apply the online Learning-guiding System based on the Felder-SilvermanLearning Style.The research adopts Eclipse,Mysql and Android as developmentinstruments.After the development of the system is completed, test and application of the systemis operated. In addition, the thesis collects feedbacks to improve the system.With analyzing of the impacts of Felder-Silverman Learning Style on learners’ learningprocess, the thesis plans and constructs a personalized online learning platform which is in line with their own learning style features from the perspective of instructional design. Teachers canorganize and upload learning resources through different types of learning styles.With theunderstanding of their own learning style type, students learn using the recommended learningresources and programs for learning.In addition,the researcher provides onlinecomments,collections and other functions for students to meet the individual learning needs oflearners.The design and development of the system can reflect the intent of the researcher,however,due to the time and technology capabilities of researcher are limited, it is still not deepand profound enough.It has many shortcomings, so the future research will focus on theoptimization and further spread of the online Learning-guiding System.
