Communication between China and African countries has a long history, which can be traced back to the trade in Qin and Han dynasties. In the mid-20th century, China and Africa began the political and economic communication, and after2000, with the success of the opening China—Africa Cooperation conference, communication between them develops towards multi-level and multi-field direction.After1949,China and Africa’s bilateral Communication gradually shifts from the political and economic fields to further deepen cultural and educational aspects. The governments of China and African countries have gradually realized the importance of educational communication and cooperation, therefore both of them try their best to jointly promote education communication and cooperation and the healthy development of China-Africa’s friendship.This paper consists of six parts. The first part is the introduction, which mainly talks about the main content of the article, the core definition, literature review, research methods, and existing research evaluation.The second part is the historical background of China and Africa educational communication and cooperation (1949-2006) in the political and economic view. Political view is mainly about the policy texts from1949to2006. In aspect of economic, it’s mainly about the trade and analysis of the economic and trade exchanges between China and Africa in the past50years.The third, fourth, fifth parts are the main sections of this paper, which aim to review the history of China-Africa bilateral educational exchanges and cooperation. The third part is the educational communication and cooperation in the year of1949-1972, whose mainly form is the exchange of students and teachers; the fourth part is the educational communication and cooperation in the year of1973-1999which emerges new forms, it is the exchange of delegations, cooperation in research projects, short-term training courses and providing educational materials; the fifth part is the year of2000-2006, when China and Africa began to further deepen educational communication and cooperation, such as the establish of the Confucius colleges, vocational education and other forms of cooperation.The sixth part is the outlook of China and Africa educational communication and cooperation, which aims to establish equal and win-win China-Africa educational relations which depends their bilateral efforts.The last part is the conclusion. In order to make the successful China and Africa educational communication and cooperation, it is necessary to create a good social environment which influences the educational exchanges and cooperation between China and African countries. Moreover, educational exchanges and cooperation benefits the bilateral communication in economy and politic, thus successful educational exchanges and cooperation needs mutual trust and bilateral multi-field development.
