The professional college counselors’ team, on the whole, mainly refers tothe university through the strict selection and professional training to establishand improve the College Students’ Ideological and political education andprofessional team. Through gradually conforming to professional standards,making the team become professionals and obtain the appropriate professionalstatus, so the counselor occupation can be a dynamic developing and stablesocial occupation. The professional individual counselor, refers to a counselorbased on strict professional training and learning, through self-designed, selflearning and self cultivation of professional promotion activities, as well as inthe specific work of student hone, making a body specialized in improving,gradually grow into the development process professionals.Based on the survey of professional status of Wuhu seven universitycounselors, this essay focuses on the existing problems in the construction ofprofessional counselors and how to promote the counselors’ professionalismconstruction. At present, the college counselor system, funds, restrict theconstruction and development of counselors. The deviation of the counselors’role, the school’s management mechanism not being smoothly, the low workefficiency and the policy implementation not being in the place are notconducive to the stability of counselors’ team. For the instructors themselves,that the occupation sense of honor and sense of identity is not strong,instructor occupation professional recognition, professional division of labor isnot clear, the knowledge structure is unreasonable, and they still could not getrid of occupation unclear location, professional quality is not high, the troopstructure is unreasonable in the embarrassing situation hamper thedevelopment of instructors.To promote the instructor professionalism is a systematic engineering. Inthis process, we need to further clarify the professional division of labor,detailed work duties, the counselors’ role as the moral education worker,student affairs management and services, student development guidance andresearch; to further build the policy environment support, economic treatment, title tilt sequence a single set of security system; to further improve theconstruction of system the mechanism includes access, training, assessment,incentives, from the inside; to further refine the professional research direction,the integration of modular curriculum system, the establishment ofprofessional associations, and to deepen the research platform construction; tofurther cultivate students professional spirit of counselors to growth,increasing their influence on students’ thinking and behavior, strengthenideological and political education of college students scientific researchconsciousness and research ability. Through the joint efforts of government,universities and instructors, the professional level can be enhanced.
