Construction Of College Counselors Specialization

As the mainstay of College Ideological and Political Education, college counselors undertake many important tasks such as daily management of education ideological and political education and careers guidance etc. They are not only very important to lead undergraduates to set up true worldview,philosophy,value and concept of honor and disgrace, but also to enhance their responsibility in love and service of motherland. But along with popularization of advanced education developing rapidly, in college student group, due to their concept of values and act of behaviors changed a lot, the former foundation mode,management system and construction mechanism in counselors team can no longer reach these requirements of the development of this job under the new situation. Hence, the specialized construction in counselors team has great practical and targeted effects on enhancing the professional quality of counselors and advancing the sustainable development of counselors'team.This article, based on the thesis of ideological and political education and actual work situation, focuses tightly on intention of specialized construction of counselors' team. Most importantly, three outstanding issues have been raised:structural imbalance,unscientific management system and staff loss seriously. Additionally, from the management point of view, this essay analyzes reasons of these problems and further demonstrates the importance and feasibility of expediting specialized construction of counselors' team. Meanwhile, adapted some advanced experience from student management at home and abroad, institutional assurance has been proposed tentatively in the light of China's national situation. Finally, in this article, professional ideas and some basic assumption have also been put forward from those following aspects:to create professional counselors for strengthening relevant disciplines; to optimize the structure for reinforcing the construction of professional and part-time counselors team; to define the role and responsibility of counselor job and to implement the standardized management for promoting the exertion of the whole function in counselors team etc.
